Time is running out to secure a $50,000 unclaimed Powerball prize from the Michigan Lottery. The winning ticket was purchased on 26 April last year.
According to MI Lottery, the ticket matches four white ball numbers drawn plus the Powerball 20, 22, 28, 45, 50 PB 8 to win the games 3rd level prize worth a cool $50k. A player purchased the winning ticket at the Pri Mart Quik Shop #11, South Haven in Van Buren County.
However, the winner hasn’t turned in the winning ticket to claim the prize. Hopefully, because he or she is talking with attorneys and financial planners about how best to handle the sudden infusion of cash.
Thus, the winner is advised to contact the Michigan Lottery Public Relations Division at (517) 373-1237 to schedule an appointment to collect the big prize. The prize must be claimed at the Lottery’s headquarters in Lansing.
Powerball tickets are only good for one year after their drawing. Hence, the holder of that ticket will be out of luck as of 31 April 2019. So, this $50,000 unclaimed Powerball prize must be claimed by 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday 30 April 2019. Hence, the winner has about two weeks to come forward with the winning ticket and claim the $50,000 unclaimed Powerball prize.
If the winner doesn’t claim before the ticket expires, the $50k prize will go to the state School Aid Fund.
Powerball tickets may be purchased online at MichiganLottery.com. Tickets are also available at all Lottery’s retailers across the state until 9:45 p.m. on the day of the drawing. In-store ticket sales resume for the next draw after the running drawing has completed. However, online ticket sales for the next draw start after 9:45 p.m. on the night of the draw.
