Michigan Lottery players, a lucky Oakland County woman, recently took home a $25,000 a year for life, grand prize while playing the Lucky For Life game. Stacy Bright of Rochester Hills was able to match the five white balls that were drawn not too long ago.
She purchased her winning ticket online, and after winning, she then visited Lottery headquarters to claim her once-in-a-lifetime prize. She chose to receive the one-time lump sum amount of roughly $390,000 instead of the annual payments of $25,000 for 20 years.

Win Up To: $1,000 A Day For Life
Purchasing Options: Online and In-Store
Ticket Cost: $2.00
How to Play
You will select five white-ball numbers in ranges from 1 to 48. Then choose the single Lucky Ball number, ranging from 1 to 18. There is also the option to have the machine pick for you.
You can play up to 10 panels per ticket. Then if you want, you can play up to 30 consecutive drawings with those same numbers by marking an area within the multiple draw wagers section on your ticket.
After choosing your numbers, you will need to have your ticket printed by the retailer. If online, it will be added to your cart to check out.
After purchasing your ticket, you will need to wait for the results. You can watch the drawing results on TV, or you can look up the results on Michigan Lottery’s website and on the mobile app.
As mentioned, the game is indeed available online. When buying online, you have the luxury of being automatically notified if your ticket is a winner on your online user account.
Odds, Price, and Prizes
The jackpot consists of five White Balls and the Lucky Ball. These have odds of 1 in 30,821,472, and the overall odds of winning a single prize are one in eight.
To increase your chances of winning all of those possible prizes, you can simply purchase another ticket. Keep in mind that each ticket costs two dollars and could add up quickly when buying multiple tickets. So make sure to budget accordingly and play responsibly.
Just like Stacy Bright did, she chose to cash out the winnings instead of the $25,000/Year for Life option. If you won this prize playing Lucky for Life, you have the option to do whichever one you desire but will only have 60 days to decide on the cash-out option.
