Beverly Blackledge, a 70-year old woman from Clare County is looking forward to some financial relief. She recently won a $200,000 Powerball prize from Michigan Lottery.
Blackledge bought a Powerball ticket for the February 16, 2019 drawing. The Powerball winning numbers drawn were (white balls) 29, 30, 41, 48, 64 Powerball 01, and Power Play 4x.
Likewise, she luckily correctly predicted four of the white balls and the Powerball – automatically winning the games third prize – worth a $50,000 prize. However, thanks to the Powerplay, which she had opted, her $50k prize was boosted four times for a total prize of $200,000.
She bought her winning ticket at the Shell gas station, located at 701 North 1st Street in Harrison. As customary with Michigan Lottery, the retail shop will also receive a finders fee for selling Beverly Blackledge the winning ticket.
What She Had To Say
“I buy a ticket the day before every drawing and I always get the Powerplay,” said Blackledge. “Then I called the winning number hotline the day after the drawing and wrote down the winning numbers. I started with the Powerball and saw mine matched and then went on to match four white balls. When I realized the Powerplay was four, I couldn’t believe how much I had just won.”
Blackledge visited Lottery headquarters recently to her big prize. With her winnings, she plans to pay off bills, buy a car, and make home renovations.
“It feels amazing to win this Powerball prize, it’s like a breath of fresh air. This will provide financial relief for me and my family,” Blackledge continued.
In conclusion, Powerball tickets may be purchased for $2 each at Lottery retailers across the state or online at MichiganLottery.com. A “Power Play” option that multiplies non-jackpot prizes by up to 10 times to a maximum of $2 million may be added to any Powerball play for only $1.
