No one brought forward the winning ticket to claim a $1 million Powerball prize. So, after a full year, the ticket for the unclaimed prize expired last night and the prize was donated to the state School Aid Fund.

This Powerball ticket was purchased by an unknown MI Lottery player at the Ionia Marathon gas station located on 122 N Dexter St, Ionia city in Ionia County, Michigan.

Date of purchase was 25 September for the Powerball drawing held on 27 September 2017. Therefore, the unclaimed prize expired on 09/27/2018 @ 4:45 pm. The Powerball results drawn were (08-10-21-23-25 PB 22). Not only did this ticket match five of six winning numbers drawn. But also, won the second Powerball prize worth $1,000,000.

The ticket was valid for one year from the date of the drawing. This unclaimed prize is the second major and the largest Michigan Lottery prize to go unclaimed this year. In the first place, is the $519,456 Fast Cash Jackpot Slots jackpot unclaimed prize of July 2018.

The record for an unclaimed MI Lottery prize is $34 million. It was set in 1998, when a winning Michigan Lotto game ticket, purchased at the Meijer located at 1350 West Lake Lansing Road in East Lansing, went unclaimed.
