Here is how the overall earnings of the Michigan Lottery are spent and distributed
Sixty cents of every dollar will be awarded as prize money for players to win. Twenty-eight cents of every dollar earned by the Lottery will go to support the Michigan State-run School Aid Fund. While nine percent of every dollar goes to commissions for Michigan State Lottery vendors and retailers, and the remaining three percent cent of every dollar is reserved for every day running and administrative costs of the Michigan Lottery.
