A Wayne County man visited the Lottery headquarters building in Lansing on Tuesday to claim a $274,661 prize.

This after he won the $274,661 prize playing Michigan Lottery’s 50X The Cash Fast Cash progressive jackpot.

“I made my routine stop for coffee on my way to work, while still at it, I also bought a 50X The Cash Fast Cash ticket.” said the lucky player, who checked his ticket as soon as he got into his car. “I couldn’t believe I had won $274,661. This is like my wedding gift!” said the lucky winner.

It took him a couple minutes to calm down, but as soon as he did he called his place of work, to ask if he could take the day off, which he was granted. Then rushed back home to tell his fiancée the great news. They filed for a claim of the prize a couple hours later. With the winnings, they plan to settle a few outstanding bills, buy a new home and save a few thousand dollars for their future honeymoon.
