Pretty unbelievable, right? But believe it or not, lotto officials are saying someone from San Jose in California correctly matched all six Mega Millions numbers to win last night’s Mega Millions jackpot prize, worth an estimated gross prize of $522 million.

According to Mega Millions officials, last night’s Tuesday, the 24th of July, 2018 Mega Millions draw winning ticket, was purchased at Ernie’s Liquors located at 2808 S White Rd, San Jose California, and the winning numbers are 01-02-04-19-29, Mega Ball: 20.

This is the second-largest jackpot of its kind so far this year and the 11th largest in the U.S. history for Mega Millions. Although Mega Millions prize amounts are parimutuel in California and subject to both federal, state and local levies, the net cash lumpsum payment value to the winner, is roughly estimated to be $308 million.

To pocket the full prize of $522 million, the winner should rather go for the annuity payment option, where they’ll’ receive the prize in about twenty-nine annual payments, with each payment 5% bigger than the previous.

So far this year, there has been three topmost Mega Millions jackpots already won. The first was, a $451 million jackpot prize, won by twenty-year-old Shane Missler of Port Richey, in January. Then, there was the $533 million jackpot, won in March, by Richard Wahl, from Vernon Township in Sussex County, New Jersey, and last night’s $522 million jackpot winner from California.
