A lucky Michigan Lottery player who bought a Mega Millions ticket in Montcalm County for last Friday’s drawing is walking around with a ticket worth $1 million.

This lucky player’s ticket correctly matched the first five winning white ball numbers (01-02-11-52-64) except for the Mega Ball number. As a result, this ticket wins Mega Millions second prize worth $1 million.

The winning Mega Millions ticket was purchased at the Pierson Trading Post, located at 138 South 4th Street in Pierson, Montcalm County.

The $1 million prize winner should contact the MI Lottery Public Relations Division at (517) 373-1237 to schedule an appointment to collect the big prize. Big prizes like this one are claimable at the Lottery’s headquarters in Lansing. Tickets for Mega Millions are valid for one year from the drawing date.

Mega Millions drawings take place each Tuesday and Friday evening. Mega Millions tickets cost $2.00 per play. For an additional $1 per play, players can add Megaplier. This feature increase non-jackpot prize winnings by a factor of 2, 3, 4 or 5 times. The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 302,575,350.
