There’s good news for Michigan Lottery players as one lucky winner showed that wealth is only a play away. A recent Powerball player is $2 million wealthier after matching the five white balls in a recent drawing: 14-18-36-49-67. 

This led to a person winning a $1 million prize. In addition to the Power Play option that they selected, the prize was then multiplied to $2 million. 

The winning ticket was purchased at KC’s Lake Thirteen Party Store, which is located at 587 West Surrey Road in Farwell. Farwell can be found roughly 20 miles north of Mt. Pleasant.

The $2 million prize collector, or anyone that wins a large prize like this, should contact the Michigan Lottery Public Relations Division at (517) 373-1237 to schedule an appointment in order to collect their substantial prize. The winnings have to be claimed at the Lottery’s headquarters in Lansing. 

How To Play 

The Powerball’s estimated jackpot is around $52 million as of the latest draw. These Drawings occur every Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m.

You can purchase tickets online or in store for this game. When purchasing a ticket, you will need to select 5 white ball numbers and 1 red Powerball number. 

For $2, you will select your numbers on your ticket. For an additional $1, you have the option to add a Power Play feature that can multiply your winnings, up to 10 times the amount of the prize except for jackpots and only 2 times for the 5 white ball matches. 

Odds, Price, and Prizes 

The overall odds of winning a single prize in Powerball are 1 in 25. The odds that the recent lucky winner had at winning the $2 million iwas: 1 in 11,688,054. For reference, just to correctly pick the Powerball number itself has odds of 1 in 39, so this person got very lucky. 

The cost of one Powerball play is $2 per ticket. It will cost $3 if you would like to add the Power Play feature. So for an extra $1, this person got and extra $1 million, which is an impressive return on investment.
