Powerball is playable in forty-four states including Washington D.C., the US Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico. The starting Powerball jackpot is $40 Million and drawings are scheduled for twice a week, every Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m.

Players play by either picking their own six numbers (five regular number and one Powerball) or have the computer randomly pick those numbers for them.
