Metro Detroit is buzzing with excitement as a lucky player struck it rich in the latest Powerball drawing. Just one day after a Michigan Lottery player snagged $1 million in the Mega Millions, another fortunate winner has claimed a $1 million prize in the Powerball.
The winning ticket was purchased at the Shell gas station located at Cherry Hill and Venoy Road in Westland. The lucky numbers from the September 4 drawing were 7, 10, 21, 33, and 59, with the Powerball number being 20 and a Power Play multiplier of 3x.
Powerball tickets, which cost $2 each, are available at Michigan Lottery retailers statewide and online at MichiganLottery.com. Drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. Tickets can be purchased in 45 states, Washington D.C., the U.S. Virgin Islands, and Puerto Rico.
