Genesee County Man Wins $2 Million Playing Michigan Lottery’s Fortune Instant Game

A Genesee County man says the $2-million prize he won playing the Michigan Lottery’s Fortune instant game is life-changing. The anonymous 56-year-old player bought his winning ticket at the Beacon & Bridge Market at 3011 Thompson Road in Fenton.

The winner says he always purchases tickets from the same retailer but had to go to a different one because he arrived after they were closed. He decided to play the Fortune instant game because he wanted to try one of the new tickets.

When he scratched the ticket and saw that he had won $2 million, he was stunned. The lucky player admitted that he had been playing the lottery for a long time and that it felt amazing to win big.

The man recently visited Lottery headquarters to claim his big prize and decided to take the one-time payment of around $1.3 million instead of 30 annual payments for the full amount. In addition, he says he plans to pay off his house and help his family with his winnings.

The Fortune instant game has paid lucky players more than $16 million since launching in April. The $20 ticket gives players three games and a chance to win prizes from $20 to $2 million. To win, players must match any of YOUR NUMBERS to the LUCKY NUMBERS to win the prize shown below.

Revealing a GOLD BAR wins the prize shown automatically. Reveal the CLOVER symbol to win $100 instantly, and a 5X symbol pays five times the prize shown. Revealing a WIN symbol in any BONUS spot in Game 2 pays the prize amount shown.

In Game 3, matching any of YOUR NUMBERS to the FORTUNE NUMBERS wins the prize shown below that number. Revealing a HORSESHOE symbol wins the prize shown automatically, a DIAMOND symbol pays $200 instantly, and revealing a 10X symbol pays ten times the amount displayed.

Over $91 million in prizes remain on the FORTUNE instant game, including two more $2 million top prizes and 62 prizes of $5,000. Players can scratch the barcode on the front of the ticket and scan it at any retail ticket checker or using the Michigan Lottery mobile app to see if their ticket is a winner.

Instant games from the Michigan Lottery can be purchased at any of the 10,500 retailers across the state.
