Martin Luther King Jr. Day is a federal holiday. We observe MLK Day on the third Monday of every January. On the day, Americans celebrate King’s birthday and honor his legacy of highlighting civil rights.
Thus, we wish to advise all players that Michigan Lottery headquarters in Lansing and all regional offices will be closed on Monday, January 20, 2020. This is in the observance of the MLK Day.
MLK Day was approved in 1983 and is the first federal holiday to honor an African American.
How to celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day
While some people try to give back through public service on this day. Most people, however, earnestly seek means to empower each other, bridge barriers, and tackle social problems. All of this to bring us all closer to King’s dream of a beloved nation.
