Coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19): According to the state of Michigan, so far, there are 12 confirmed positive cases of the deadly COVID-19.
So, the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) together with the health departments in Ingham, Kent, Montcalm, Oakland, St. Clair and Washtenaw counties announced today 10 adults tested presumptive positive for coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

Thus, following the announcement of the state’s first presumptive positive cases of COVID-19, Gov. Gretchen Whitmer and the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) are providing recommendations designed to help prevent the spread of the virus.
These recommendations apply at the individual, organizational, and community levels. They apply to businesses, workplaces, schools, community organizations, health care institutions, and individuals of all ages, backgrounds, and health profiles; everyone has an important role to play.
Michigan lottery recommends that players:
- Washing hands with soap and water touching as often as possible.
- Refine from touching your eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands.
- Cover mouths and nose with a tissue or upper sleeve when coughing or sneezing.
- Avoiding contact with sick people.
