A Muskegon County resident began 2023 in the most profitable way possible after recently claiming a $332,421 Fantasy 5 jackpot that she won on New Year’s Eve. The anonymous 65-year-old player proved lucky in the December 31 Fantasy 5 drawing, matching the numbers 03-22-23-29-30 for the big prize. She purchased the winning ticket at the Meijer Store in North Muskegon, located at 1800 Holton Road.
The woman and her husband usually only purchase instant tickets and like to play Fantasy 5 when the jackpot gets big. But, on New Year’s Day, her husband checked the winning numbers on MichiganLottery.com and told her that the winning ticket was purchased at a Meijer in Muskegon. She thought there was no way that they had won and replied with disbelief.
“I scanned my ticket using the app scanner, and when confetti came up on the screen with the jackpot amount, I started screaming,” she said.
“When I showed my husband the winning amount, we both started shaking. We were so excited!”
The player recently went to Michigan Lottery headquarters to collect her big winnings. She plans to use the money to complete home improvements and go on a cruise.

For just $1, anyone can play Fantasy 5 and have the chance to win big. Players can add EZmatch to their ticket for an extra dollar per play and get the opportunity to win up to $500 instantly.
