The Winners Keep Coming with the Michigan Lottery - Play Michigan Lottery

The Michigan Lottery consistently produces winners. Two new big winners have scored major prizes playing the Michigan Lottery’s hottest promotions.

Blazing Hot 7’s Are Red Hot

A fortunate player from Wayne County won $500,000 playing Blazing Hot 7’s. The surprise came to the unsuspecting 50-year-old player, who wished to remain anonymous. The player purchased their winning ticket at a CVS pharmacy on Southfield Road in Allen Park.

The winner indicated they were visiting family when they decided to purchase a couple of tickets on their way home. While the player thought they hadn’t won anything, scanning the tickets with the Lottery app later revealed one of the tickets had scored a $500,000 payday.

The player could not believe the win despite the confetti effects signaling the prize. With the windfall, which he has now collected, the winner has indicated they plan on taking a vacation and investing the rest. The money will enable the anonymous winner to set up a “good fortune.”

Blazing Hot 7’s has paid more than $9 million to players since its January launch. Each ticket costs $5 and allows players to win great cash prizes from $5 to $500,000. There are over $24 million in prizes left on the table.

The Jackpot of a Lifetime Comes to an Alpena County Player

A $30 win turned into a $6 million grand slam for one lucky winner in Alpena County. The player won $30 playing the Michigan Lottery’s $6,000,000 Jackpot instant game. The anonymous winner bought a ticket at an IGA Foodstore location on US Highway 23 North in Alpena.

The winner indicated they had occasionally played the $6 million game. One day, the individual landed a $30 win, but instead of cashing in their winnings, they decided to reinvest the win. That $30 investment turned into a $6-million prize.

After scanning the barcode, the player received a message asking them to claim their prize at the Michigan Lottery office. After visiting lottery headquarters, the player opted for a $4.1-million lump-sum prize instead of collecting 30 annual payments for the full amount.

Over $65 million have been paid out to players in the $6,000,000 Jackpot since its launch last December. Players can net prizes from $50 to $6 million and there are over $275 million in prizes still left on the board.
