On Friday, a winning Mega Millions ticket worth $1 million was sold in Southfield. The CVS pharmacy at 18130 West 10 Mile Road sold the winning ticket matching the five white balls drawn on St. Patrick’s Day. The winning numbers were 26-28-29-39 and 49 in last Friday’s drawing. However, the winner has yet to claim their prize.
The winning ticket holder should schedule an appointment to pick up their prize by calling the Michigan Lottery Player Relations Division at 844-877-6836 and selecting option ‘2’ from the interactive menu. Winning tickets are valid for one year after the date of the drawing. The lucky winner must claim the prize at the Michigan Lottery headquarters in Lansing.
Players in Michigan can play Mega Millions at any of the over 10,000 retailers throughout the state and at MichiganLottery.com online. The cost to play is $2, with the option to purchase an added ‘Megaplier,’ which can multiply any prize other than the jackpot up to 5x. Mega Millions is available for residents in 45 U.S. states, Washington, D.C., and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Michigan Lottery Royal VIP Instant Game
The Michigan Lottery Royal VIP instant game also saw another big win recently, as a Muskegon County man recently claimed a prize of $300,000. The 40-year-old winner learned about the instant online game from his friends and decided to try it himself.
“I won $700 within a few minutes of playing and was happy with that. A few minutes later, I won again, but I thought I’d only won $300 at first. When I realized I had won $300,000, I didn’t think it was real,” said the newest winner.
He recently claimed his prize at Michigan Lottery Headquarters and plans to save his winnings.
