Is Silver House Liquor the Luckiest Lottery Retailer in Michigan? - Play Michigan Lottery
Silver House Liquor in Macomb County

Silver House Liquor in Macomb County, dubbed the luckiest lottery retailer in Michigan for good reason. The store has sold not one, but two big lottery winning jackpot tickets within weeks of each other.

What are the odds of that? Extremely rare, I’ll tell you that. First, the store sold the $4 million Super Raffle winning ticket, now a $9.64 million Lotto 47 jackpot-winning ticket.

The store will not only increase in fame as more players hear about the two big wins but, the owners will also pocket a $10,000 commission for selling the winning tickets.

Meanwhile, a 54-year-old unnamed man from Macomb County felt an adrenaline rush. He had correctly matched all six Lotto 47 winning numbers (05-12-24-31-35-42), therefore winning the $9.64 million jackpot.

However, since there were two Lotto 47 tickets with the same winning numbers on Wednesday 10 October 2018 drawing. He’s entitled to half the jackpot prize to the value of $4.82 million.

This is the second big winning ticket bought at the Silver House Liquor and lottery store. The store is located at 16661 25 Mile Road in Macomb Township.

“My wife and I play the Lottery regularly,” said the winner. “We heard Silver House Liquor had sold the Super Raffle winner, so I decided we’d buy our tickets there.

“When we stopped at the Silver House Liquor on Thursday to check our tickets. We asked the clerk for a print out of the winning numbers. As my wife checked them over, she screamed: ‘Oh my god, we won!’ I looked the ticket over and we both had so much adrenaline rushing through our bodies that we felt like we were going to be sick.”

The player visited Lottery headquarters last Friday to claim the $4.82 million prize. He chose to receive his winnings as a one-time lump sum payment of about $3 million rather than annuity payments for the full amount.

With his winnings, he plans to pay bills, share with family, donate to charity and take a family vacation.

The second winning Lotto 47 ticket from Wednesday’s drawing was bought at B&D Mini Mart, located at 32 West Munger Road in Munger.

The lucky ticket holder has not come forward to claim the prize. However, Mi Lottery officials are urging the winner to contact the Lottery’s Public Relations Division at (517) 373-1237 to make an appointment to claim the prize at the Lottery headquarters in Lansing. Lotto 47 tickets are valid for one year from the drawing date.
