No ticket correctly matched all six winning numbers drawn on Friday the 14th of September 2018 to win the $227 million Mega Millions jackpot.

Even though there was no Jackpot prize winner, one player matched the five main numbers drawn to win a $1 million prize. The ticket sold in Florida.

357,430 more tickets won a lower tier prize of at least $4. This including 12,983 tickets sold in Michigan. Two of those matched four numbers and the Mega Ball to win a $10,000 prize.

Mega Millions does not have a rollover limit or jackpot cap. So the jackpot will continue to roll until a player pops that bubble by correctly matching the five main winning numbers plus the Mega Ball number.

As a result, the Mega Millions jackpot had to once again roll and bubble. This time, to just over a quarter of a billion dollars ($252 Million) for the Tuesday, 18, September 2018 drawing. The estimated cash option for Tuesday’s drawing will be $148 million.

According to the Mega Millions, tickets cost $2.00 per play. For an additional $1 per play players can add Megaplier. This feature increase non-jackpot prize winnings by a factor of 2, 3, 4 or 5 times. The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 302,575,350.

$543 million remains the largest-ever Mega Millions jackpot claimed by a single ticket. This record was set on the 24, July 2018 drawing. The record for the biggest Mega Millions jackpot of all time is held by the 30, March 2012 drawing win by three winning tickets worth $656 million.
