A winning Michigan Lottery Lotto 47 Double Play ticket worth $1.5 million was purchased in Pontiac, matching the winning numbers in Wednesday night’s drawing. A ticket was bought at a Carnival Market that matched all six numbers: 20-25-26-27-36-44, to win the big prize.
The Lotto 47 Double Play add-on game gives players a second chance to win on every drawing for an extra $1 per panel. Following each Lotto 47 drawing, another set of Double Play numbers is drawn, and non-jackpot prizes are doubled. The top prize is $1.5 million, and players have a chance to win both the regular Lotto 47 and the Double Play drawing each night.
The jackpot winner must contact the Michigan Lottery’s Player Relations division at 844-887-6836 and select option 2 to schedule an appointment to claim their prize. Winning Lotto 47 tickets are valid for up to one year from the original drawing date.
Lotto 47 costs $1 per play, with players picking six numbers from one to 47 for a chance to win the jackpot starting at $1 million that keeps growing until a lucky player wins. Players can purchase the Double Play add-on for an additional $1 per play, which gives them a second chance to win up to $1.5 million in the nightly Double Play Drawing. Players can also add EZMatch for an extra $1, giving them a chance to win $500 instantly.
Lotto 47 drawings are held each Wednesday and Saturday evening at 7:29 pm. Players can purchase tickets at any Lottery retailer or online at MichiganLottery.com until 7:08 pm on the drawing date.
Michigan Lottery players also have a chance at winning over $1 billion in this weekend’s Powerball and Mega Millions drawings. The Powerball jackpot is at $615 million for Saturday’s drawing, with a cash option of $310.6 million. The current Mega Millions jackpot stands at $450 million for the next drawing on Friday and has a cash option of $225.6 million.
The Powerball and Mega Millions jackpots were last won in April when a player from Ohio won a $252.6 million Powerball jackpot, and a player from New York took home a Mega Millions jackpot of $20 million.
