Shawna Foerster, working in St. John’s, was about to start her shift at Bruno’s Bar. She decided, with the guidance of her co-worker, decided to play a Club Keno game.

She was that she scored a winner but could not really check out the ticket because it was time to clock in for her shift. A long wait would ensue before the numbers would reveal themselves.

There is an add-on game included in it called The Jack, which her co-worker, funnily enough also named Jack, suggested to her. And then she took a peak at just how much money the ticket was for, initially believing it to be $1,000, and her jaw absolutely dropped. It went all the way down to the floor, and the excitement was not palpable.

Getting The Confirmation

When somebody is able to win a six-figure salary just from playing, it is almost always worth it. Foerster took the money via check and took a picture with her big earnings. She was in shock when the moment became official, and the money was actually about to become hers.

When she scanned the ticket late in her shift and did, in fact, find out, she was just how much money was won. Over $197K in total, to be exact. And with that, she announced a simple conclusion for the decision on what to do with the new earnings.

Most of it was going to go toward her daughter’s college fund, with the rest being used to pad her savings. A wise decision to make so it can do the most for them.

They no longer have to worry about having the cushion to fall back on, and Foerster mentioned that the rainy day fund is now locked and loaded.
