A 29-year-old was at a store on 8 Mile when she decided that buying a scratch-off ticket was a worthwhile decision for her. So many people before her have had this choice, though of course not all of them had any form of story attached to it, and it wound up just being a purchase made and so be it. The world continued and nothing changed. Not the case this time.

This store, located between Evergreen Road and Southfield Road was surely going to be in the news for being the venue to take this woman’s dreams and making them come true. The ticket cost $20 with the top prize being $2 million. The first row of numbers didn’t match at all, which made things seem relatively bleak. And once that occurred, well, the good news is that there is a second row.

And when there were several matches on that level, the numbers listed indicated that she was now the winner of the big grand prize. A whopping two million dollars to this young woman leave her with a world of possibilities as to what to do with it. 

She was stunned in the moment and had her grandfather take a peak just to confirm everything was in place. And that was in fact the case, the win was then verified.

The ticket was taken to Lansing where the winner decided on a one-time lump sum payment, which left her with $1.3 million to take home. And with the winnings, the plan is to travel and help her family with some of it, too.
