Another lucky Michigan Lottery player has won the $6 million top prize playing the $300,000,000 Diamond Riches instant game. The 69-year-old winner from Genesee County purchased her winning ticket at the Pure Market in Whitmore Lake.
The anonymous player recently visited Lottery headquarters to claim the big prize, electing to receive payment as a one-time lump sum of about $4.1 million instead of 30 annual payments for the total prize amount. The lucky winner says she plans to save her winnings.
Lottery players have won over $278 million since the $300,000,000 Diamond Riches instant game launched in July 2022. Each $50 ticket gives players a chance to win prizes from $50 up to the top prize of $6 million. One top prize remains, with over $54 million in total prizes waiting to be won, including 15 prizes of $50,000 and 142 awards of $2,500.
Players can also take advantage of the Michigan Lottery’s Second Chance Promotion by scanning their non-winning $300,000,000 Diamond Riches tickets using the Michigan Lottery mobile app ticket scanner during the entry period for each of the ten drawings.
Second Chance Promotion entries earned can be viewed on the My Entries page of any Michigan Lottery account and may take up to 72 hours to appear. Each Second Chance drawing awards one $100,000 grand prize, five $10,000 prizes, 20 prizes of $1,000, and sixty $500 winners.
Lucky players have won over $278 million playing $300,000,000 Diamond Riches, and in 2022, there were more than $1.7 billion in prizes won playing Michigan Lottery instant games. Players can purchase tickets at any of the 10,500 retailers throughout the state.
Michigan Lottery players also have a chance to win more than $1.4 billion this weekend in the upcoming Mega Millions and Powerball drawings. The Mega Millions jackpot is estimated at $560 million for tonight’s drawing, which would be the seventh-largest jackpot ever if there’s a winner. The cash option for tonight’s jackpot is $287 million.
Saturday’s Powerball jackpot is estimated at $875 million, with a lump-sum cash option of $452 million. If there’s a winner this weekend, it would be the third-largest Powerball jackpot ever awarded.
