The Michigan Lottery’s Hot 7s online instant game was recently added to the Monthly Second Chance Progressive Jackpot lineup, giving players another way to earn entries on their non-winning tickets for an opportunity to win a second chance jackpot.
Players can win up to $50,000 instantly by playing Hot 7s online while automatically earning entries into the Monthly Second Chance Progressive Jackpot.
The jackpot starts at $5,000 monthly and increases as players purchase eligible online instant games. Every $0.50 wagered on Hot 7s earns players one entry into the Monthly Second Chance Progressive Jackpot drawing for that month.
The Monthly Jackpot Progressive game was launched in April 2022, with players winning more than $3.7 million in Monthly Jackpot Progressive prizes since then.
The smallest jackpot won was in October 2022, when a lucky player won the $97,885 top prize. The largest monthly progressive jackpot prize won was in March 2023, when a player took home the $625,162 grand prize.
Select online instant games are what fund the Monthly Second Chance Progressive Jackpot. Once the entry period has closed each month, a random drawing will take place, with one jackpot winner chosen from all entries for the month.
Besides Hot 7s, there are seven other online instant games where players can gain entries into the Monthly Second Chance Progressive Jackpot drawing: Big Cash Catch, Cash Vault, Viva Las Jackpots, Michigan Multiplier Wilds, Lucky Start, Mystery Vault, July Jackpot.

Entries are only valid for the monthly entry period in which players earned them. Players can visit the ‘My Entries’ tab on their Michigan Lottery online account to view their Monthly Second Chance Jackpot Drawing entries.
When the new drawing period begins each month, the progressive jackpot is reset to $5,000 and continues to grow with each new entry. The next Monthly Second Chance Progressive drawing will be held on July 12 for the June 2023 entry period.
