A lucky player from Ingham County is the latest winner of the Michigan Lottery’s Monthly Jackpot Progressive Prize of $625,162. The anonymous 51-year-old player claimed the money after being chosen in a random drawing on April 12. Entries into the drawing were earned after he played the eligible online Monthly Jackpot games at MichiganLottery.com.
The lucky winner says he was in awe when he called back the Lottery and was told he had won the big prize. He said, “Although I always hoped I would win, I never thought I actually would, so it is an incredible feeling!” The player recently claimed his prize at Lottery headquarters in Lansing and said he plans to pay bills and save the rest for retirement.
Various Michigan Lottery online instant games offer players a second chance progressive jackpot that players can win monthly. Entries are earned by playing eligible games, with every $0.50 wagered giving one entry into the drawing. At the end of the entry period, one lucky player is selected as the jackpot winner from all entries during the month.
