A Macomb County man felt relieved after he learned he’d won $100,000 playing the Michigan Lottery’s $6,000,000 Jackpot second chance game.

The 69-year-old player was awarded the $100,000 prize after being selected in a random drawing on June 14. He earned entries into the drawing by scanning his non-winning $6,000,000 Jackpot tickets using the Michigan Lottery app.

The lucky player says after he scanned several $6,000,000 Jackpot tickets for second chance entries, he later received an email from the Lottery informing him that he’s won a $100,000 prize and wasn’t sure what to think. When he went to show the email to his wife, she thought something bad had happened because of the look on his face.

“We tried not to get too excited at first, thinking maybe it was a scam email, but once we confirmed it was real, a feeling of relief came over me.” said the lucky winner.

The anonymous player recently visited Lottery headquarters to claim his prize and says he plans to pay bills and share with his family.

The $6,000,000 Jackpot in-store instant game costs $50 per play and gives players 50 chances to win by matching any of YOUR NUMBERS to the WINNING numbers to win the prize shown below. Revealing a STAR symbol in any JACKPOT BONUS spot wins the prize shown for that spot.

More than 1.7 million prizes are still to be won, including two top prizes of $6,000,000. There are also 51 prizes of $50,000 and over 360 $2,500 prizes remaining.

Non-winning $6,000,000 Jackpot tickets are eligible for a second chance to win prizes from $500 up to $100,000. Players can make entries by scanning their non-winning tickets on the Michigan Lottery mobile app ticket scanner before September 1, 2023. Three more second chance drawings will be held, each awarding one grand prize winner of $100,000, five $10,000 winners, twenty $1,000 winners, and sixty winners of $500.

For complete game rules and drawing dates, players can visit PlayMichiganLottery.com. The next second chance drawing is scheduled for July 13.
