A player from Macomb County could hardly contain his excitement after winning $100,000 playing the Lottery’s $6,000,000 Jackpot second chance game. The 38-year-old player was selected as the winner in the random drawing on May 24. He earned entries into the contest by scanning his non-winning $6,000,000 Jackpot tickets using the Michigan Lottery mobile app.
The player says he scanned a lot of $6,000,000 Jackpot tickets because he hoped to win big in the second chance drawing. He later saw the email informing him of his big win and said he started screaming and couldn’t contain his excitement. “Winning is such a blessing and will allow me to get out of debt and live debt free,” said the lucky player.
The player chose to remain anonymous and recently visited Lottery headquarters to claim his prize. He plans to pay bills and live debt-free with his winnings.
Every non-winning $6,000,000 Jackpot qualifies for a second chance to win prizes ranging from $500 up to $100,000. Players can enter by scanning those tickets on the Michigan Lottery mobile app ticket scanner before September 1, 2023.
Four more second chance drawings will be held, with each awarding one winner of $100,000. There are also five $10,000 winners, twenty $1,000 winners, and sixty $500 winners for each drawing. The next Second Chance drawing is scheduled for June 14.
