The Mega Millions jackpot has grown by $20 million since last Friday’s drawing and is estimated at $500 million for Tuesday night’s drawing. If there’s a winner, they would have a lump-sum cash option of $251 million. If a lucky player takes home the grand prize tonight, it would be the second-largest jackpot won playing Mega Millions in 2023.

The winning numbers in last Friday’s drawing were 08-10-17-55-66, and the Mega ball was 3. No one matched all five winning Mega Millions numbers plus the Mega ball, but one player in California matched all five white balls to win $1 million. If that player had added the Megaplier to their ticket, they could have multiplied their winnings to $3 million.

The last Mega Millions jackpot was won in April when a player in New York purchased a ticket that matched all five white balls and the Mega ball to win $20 million. The last time a player in Michigan won the Mega Millions jackpot was in January 2021, when an Oakland County lottery club won the sixth largest lottery jackpot in history of $1.05 billion. It was also the largest jackpot ever won in the state.

Mega Millions tickets are available online at MichiganLottery.com, and Lottery retailers in Michigan will have tickets available for purchase until 10:45 pm tonight. Mega Millions drawings are held every Tuesday and Friday at 11:00 pm, with tickets priced at $2 per play. For an additional $1, players can add a Megaplier that can multiply non-jackpot prizes up to five times.

Michigan Lottery players also have a chance to win a huge Powerball jackpot for Wednesday night’s drawing. The grand prize is estimated at $725 million, with a cash option of $366.2 million.

No players matched all five numbers, plus the Powerball in last night’s drawing. However, two players in Iowa and California both matched all five white balls. The lucky players both won $1 million, but the player in Iowa doubled their winnings to $2 million by adding the Power Play option to their ticket for an additional $1.

Players can purchase Powerball tickets at Lottery retailers throughout Michigan until 9:45 pm on Wednesday. Powerball drawings take place every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 10:59 pm.
