The Michigan Lottery is giving players more chances to win big in progressive jackpots. Players now have the opportunity to win even larger prizes in the Second Chance Progressive Jackpot through the addition of the Viva Las Jackpots online instant game option. This joins four other options already included in the monthly Second Chance Progressive Jackpot draw.
On April 11, the Viva Las Jackpots game is hitting the Internet and boasts an instant $40,000 prize for lucky players. Entering the game automatically places players in the running for the Second Chance Progressive Jackpot. Each $0.50 wagered on Viva Las Jackpots earns players an additional entry and a second shot at that month’s Jackpot Draw.
The Second Chance Jackpot prize increases through several online instant-win games. The promotion consisted of four games until the Michigan Lottery added Viva Las Jackpots. Previously, it only included Michigan Multiplier Wilds, Mystery Vault, Lucky Start, and Monthly Jackpot. Before Viva Las Jackpots, Multiplier Wilds and Lucky Start were the newest additions to the lineup.
The validity of entries is limited to the period during which they are submitted. A fresh drawing period kicks off every month, and the progressive jackpot gets increased to $5,000. The next drawing is scheduled for April 12.
All players can check the Michigan Lottery website to see if they have any entries for the Monthly Second Chance Jackpot Drawing. They should frequently check the site, as it may take up to 72 hours for some entries to appear. All entries expire at the end of the month in which they were included on the list.
A Total of 11 Second Chance Progressive Jackpots Awarded So Far
Since the Michigan Lottery launched the bonus games, there have been 11 Second Chance Progressive Jackpot awards. In April 2022, the total was $338,256, although this past January beat the record. $403,618 was awarded to ring in the new year. In February, there were $261,935 in progressive jackpot prizes.
Each month, the entry period concludes with a random drawing to determine the jackpot winner from among all the entries submitted during that month. The entry period for participation in the progressive jackpot covers the entire month, and the Michigan Lottery then conducts the draw about a week into the next month.
