Another lucky Michigan Lottery player will soon begin enjoying a lifetime of cash. The individual, who didn’t reveal his name, won $25,000 a year for life by playing the Lucky For Life game.
The winning ticket matched the five balls in Tuesday night’s drawing: 10-17-26-28-30, to win the huge prize. The ticket was purchased at a J&H Family Store on Post Dr. Northeast in Belmont, which is about ten miles north of Grand Rapids.
The lucky player is the fifth person in Michigan in 2023 to win a lifetime prize playing Lucky For Life. The winner has two options to collect their prize – the first is to take the annual $25,000 payments for a minimum of 20 years or life, whichever is greater. The other is to receive a one-time, lump-sum payment of $390,000 in cash.
The winner must contact the Michigan Lottery Player Relations Division at 844-877-6836 and select option 2 to schedule an appointment to claim the prize. It can only be claimed at the Lottery headquarters in Lansing. Winning Lucky For Life tickets are valid for up to one year from the drawing date.
Lucky For Life costs $2 per play and gives players a chance to win from $3 up to a lifetime of cash. The top prize for playing Lucky For Life is $1,000 a day for life, which can be won by matching all five winning numbers that range from 1 to 48, plus the Lucky Ball, with numbers ranging from 1 to 18. Matching all five numbers without the Lucky Ball pays the winner $25,000 a year for life.
Lucky for Life drawings take place seven days a week at 10:38 pm. Tickets can be purchased at any of the 10,500 Lottery retailers in Michigan or online at MichiganLottery.com.
There was also no winner in last night’s Mega Millions drawing, meaning the estimated jackpot for the next drawing on Friday will be $320 million.
The Powerball jackpot has reached an estimated $400 million for the next drawing to be held Wednesday night. Powerball and Mega Millions tickets are available for $2 at Lottery retailers or online at Michigan Lottery.com. There hasn’t been a jackpot winner for either game since April.
