There was one $1 million winner and one player nearly won the grand prize in Michigan, but there was no lucky winner of the $528-million Powerball grand prize in the Monday, July 3 drawing.

That means the next drawing on Wednesday, July 5, is estimated at $546 million with a lump-sum cash option of $282 million. The Powerball numbers for July 3 were: 15-26-31-38-61, and the Powerball was 3.

While no one took home the grand prize, one player in New Jersey matched all five white numbers to win $1 million. However, that player could have increased their winnings to $2 million if they had played the Power Play option. One ticket sold in Michigan matched four white balls plus the Powerball to win $50,000, which was the largest prize won in the state.

A total of 28,265 tickets were sold in Michigan that won at least $4 in Monday night’s drawing. Powerball is available in 44 states, Washington D.C., the U.S. Virgin Islands, and Puerto Rico.

In other Lottery news, the next Mega Millions drawing is set for tonight, with an estimated jackpot of $400 million and a lump-sum cash option of $206.7 million. The next Lotto 47 drawing will be on Wednesday evening, with a grand prize jackpot of $4.65 million, and tonight’s Fantasy 5 jackpot is estimated at $135,000.

The last players from Michigan to win the Powerball or Mega Millions jackpot were the Wolverine FLL lottery club, which won $1.05 billion in March 2021. The group plans to give back to the community with their winnings.

It’s also crucial that players check their tickets immediately after each drawing, as a $1 million winning ticket sold in Warren in 2021 went unclaimed, and the winnings were donated to the Michigan School Aid Fund.
