A 64-year-old player from Wyandotte says he feels like the luckiest person in Michigan after winning his second huge prize from the Michigan Lottery. Ronald Durham won the $25,000 a year for life prize in the May 2 Lucky For Life drawing after matching the five white balls: 29-30-34-46-48. He purchased his winning ticket at the 7-Eleven at 12990 Fort Street in Southgate.

It was the second time Durham won a big Lottery prize in the last nine years. He also won a $250,000 jackpot playing the Michigan Lottery’s KENO! Game in 2014. The player says he plays Lucky For Life every day and checks his numbers online after each drawing. So when he checked the winning numbers the following day after the drawing, he was shocked to see he’d won $25,00 a year for life.

The lucky winner explained that in 2014, he won a $250,000 KENO! prize, and he’s surprised that he won another big prize less than a decade later. He believes that he’s the “luckiest person in Michigan.

Durham recently visited Lottery headquarters to collect his prize. He accepted a one-time lump sum payment of $390,000 instead of annual payments of $25,000 a year for 20 years or life, whichever is greater. He says he plans to travel and save the remainder of his winnings.

The Lucky For Life draw game from the Michigan Lottery gives players a chance to win prizes from $3 up to a lifetime of cash. Players must match all five winning numbers from 1 to 48 plus the Lucky Ball, ranging from 1 to 18, to win the Lucky For Life top prize of $1,000 a day for life.

Players matching the five winning numbers without the Lucky Ball number will win $25,000 a year for life.

Lucky For Life drawings are held seven days a week at 10:38 pm. Lucky For Life is available to play in 26 states and Washington, D.C.
